Updated 08/26/2026 Job Description Job Summary A&P Mechanic - Line Maintenance We are seeking experienced A&P Mechanics to join a growing aircraft maintenance operation supporting commercial aircraft line maintenance activities in Charleston, South Carolina. This role is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and repairs to ensure aircraft are maintained in an airworthy condition.     Hourly Rate:
    $32.00-$38.00/hour (DOE)

    • Full-Time, 4x10 or 5x8 schedules
    • On-site position in Charleston, South Carolina
    • Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required to support flight operations Key Responsibilities
    • Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance on commercial aircraft in a line maintenance environment
    • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair aircraft systems, structures, and components
    • Conduct transit, service, daily, and overnight maintenance checks
    • Perform aircraft inspections in accordance with company maintenance programs and FAA regulations
    • Remove, install, inspect, repair, and replace aircraft components and assemblies
    • Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, engineering documents, wiring diagrams, and technical publications
    • Complete functional checks, operational tests, and return-to-service procedures following maintenance activities
    • Accurately document all maintenance actions in compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures
    • Coordinate with maintenance control, flight crews, operations personnel, and fellow technicians to ensure on-time aircraft departures
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety and quality requirements
    • Respond to aircraft-on-ground (AOG) situations and unscheduled maintenance events as needed
    • Adhere to all company policies, FAA regulations, and customer maintenance requirements Qualifications
    • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required
    • Minimum 2+ years of aircraft maintenance experience preferred
    • Previous commercial aircraft line maintenance experience highly preferred
    • Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance practices, troubleshooting techniques, and FAA regulations
    • Experience performing inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting on transport-category aircraft
    • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, wiring schematics, engineering orders, and technical documentation
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality workmanship
    • Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment
    • Ability to work in varying weather conditions on the flight line
    • Ability to climb ladders, work from maintenance stands, enter confined spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds
    • Must be able to pass required background screening and obtain airport security access credentials Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience supporting Boeing commercial aircraft platforms
    • Previous line maintenance experience with domestic or international air carriers
    • Experience performing overnight maintenance checks, troubleshooting, and AOG support
    • Knowledge of FAA regulations, maintenance documentation, and airworthiness requirements
    • Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment with strict departure schedules
    • Additional aircraft-specific training, run/taxi qualifications, or manufacturer certifications
    • Military aviation maintenance experience applicable to commercial aircraft maintenance environments.
