Job Summary
THIS JOB REQUIRES AN FAA A&P CERTIFICATE TO BE HIRED.
Join our dynamic aviation maintenance team as an Aviation Maintenance Technician, where your expertise will keep aircraft operating safely and efficiently. In this vital role, you will perform comprehensive inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems, ensuring compliance with all safety standards and regulations. Your hands-on skills and technical knowledge will directly contribute to the reliability of genral aviation aircraft we maintain, also possibly supporting flight for a regional airlines operations and maintaining the highest standards of aviation safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced tools and technologies in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. Responsibilities Conduct detailed inspections of aircraft airframes, engines, avionics, and mechanical systems using schematics, CAD drawings, and technical manuals. Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis to identify issues with electrical systems, mechanical components, and avionics equipment. Repair or replace aircraft components utilizing hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, soldering equipment, welding tools, and specialized industrial tools. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering troubleshooting guides to accurately diagnose problems. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, ammeters, ohmmeters, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to ensure parts meet specifications. Follow federal aviation regulations (FARs), AS9100 quality standards, and safety protocols during all maintenance activities. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance actions within a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Support flight line maintenance operations by performing aircraft assembly/disassembly and equipment repair in accordance with aviation maintenance facility procedures. Engage in fabrication tasks such as sheet metal work or component modifications using welding and soldering techniques as needed. Assist in the calibration of precision instruments like micrometers and ammeters to ensure measurement accuracy for critical repairs. Experience Proven experience in aircraft maintenance or aviation repair environments; military aviation experience is highly valued. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, and welding equipment. Familiarity with electrical systems troubleshooting including use of multimeters (ammeters/ohmmeters) and schematics interpretation. Knowledge of aerospace standards such as AS9100 quality management system requirements. Experience working with CAD software such as CATIA or AutoCAD for interpreting technical drawings or schematics. Background in vehicle maintenance or heavy industrial equipment repair is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols; familiarity with specialized industrial tools is a plus.
