Job Summary

Apollo MedFlight is seeking an experienced Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) - Roamer to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and alterations on company aircraft. This position supports multiple operational bases and requires travel as needed to maintain fleet readiness.

The successful candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, regulatory compliance, and aircraft reliability. The AMT will work closely with Maintenance leadership while supporting Apollo MedFlights Safety Management System and FAA Part 135 maintenance requirements.

Competitive salary that recognizes the experience and qualifications you bring

IA-certified candidates earn an additional $4,160 annually

Additional compensation consideration for relevant air-medical experience, IA certification, military aviation maintenance experience, and applicable factory training

Essential Duties

Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.

Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and alter aircraft systems and components.

Complete preventative maintenance in accordance with FAA regulations.

Maintain aircraft in an airworthy condition.

Accurately complete maintenance records and aircraft logbook entries.

Interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, drawings, STCs, and technical publications.

Verify proper documentation, part numbers, and serial numbers during component installation and removal.

Maintain clean, organized work areas.

Participate in Apollo MedFlights Safety Management System.

Respond to maintenance events throughout assigned operational areas.

Assist with inventory and parts requests.

Communicate maintenance discrepancies affecting aircraft availability.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate

Minimum two (2) years of aircraft maintenance experience as a certificated mechanic

Valid Drivers License

Preferred Qualifications

Two (2)+ years of Part 135 air medical maintenance experience

FAA Inspection Authorization (IA)

Factory maintenance training on: Bell 407; Bell 429; EC135; EC145

Previous helicopter maintenance experience

EMS or critical care transport aircraft maintenance experience

Physical Requirements

Lift up to 50 pounds

Frequent climbing, crawling, bending, stooping, kneeling

Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

Frequent exposure to aircraft noise, hazardous materials, and moving equipment

Wear required PPE

Ability to use common hand and power tools

Ability to work from ladders and maintenance stands
