6-month contract to hire Job Summary Our Aerospace client is seeking a hands-on GSE Build Technician to support the construction, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ground support equipment used for rocket production, testing, and launch operations. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical, industrial, aerospace, aviation, military, or process piping experience who enjoys working with tools, tubing, valves, fluid systems, and mechanical equipment. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 3+ years of hands-on mechanical experience in aerospace, industrial maintenance, aviation, military, process piping, fabrication, or similar fields Experience with mechanical assembly, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and work instructions Experience with tubing, piping, valves, fittings, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and measurement equipment Strong safety awareness and documentation skills Ability to lift 30+ lbs and work in industrial or outdoor environments Responsibilities Build, install, maintain, and repair ground support equipment Fabricate and install tubing, piping, valves, regulators, and mechanical assemblies Troubleshoot and test mechanical and fluid systems Read and work from engineering drawings and P&IDs Perform leak checks, commissioning, inspections, and system verification Document work completed and maintain accurate records Support launch site, test stand, and production facility operations Work closely with engineering, operations, and quality teams
