Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanics to join our dynamic aviation maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair, fabrication, and installation of aircraft sheet metal components, ensuring all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining the integrity and safety of aircraft structures, supporting our commitment to excellence in aviation maintenance. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics with a passion for precision craftsmanship and technical problem-solving to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You must have an FAA issued Airframe license . Duties Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) models to accurately fabricate and repair aircraft sheet metal parts. Use specialized industrial tools, power tools, torque wrenches, hand tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments to perform detailed fabrication and repairs. Conduct structural repairs on helicopter airframes by replacing or modifying sheet metal components in accordance with FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) regulations and industry standards. Perform assembly tasks on helicopter structures utilizing schematics and engineering troubleshooting techniques to ensure proper fit and function. Engage in maintenance activities on flight line aircraft, including corrosion control, structural reinforcement, and component installation or replacement. Participate in root cause analysis of structural issues to identify underlying problems and implement effective solutions. Requirements Proven experience in aircraft maintenance with a focus on sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and repair within an aviation maintenance facility or similar environment. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience, avionics familiarity, and understanding of mechanical systems repair. Experience working with helicopter aviation standards or military helicopter airframe experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of FAA regulations. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately using calipers, micrometers, schematics, and other precision measuring instruments. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment—including soldering—and specialized industrial tools required for sheet metal fabrication. Capable of heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols; familiarity with safety standards related to aviation maintenance is essential. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform engineering troubleshooting on structural components. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and documenting work thoroughly. $35.00 - $60.00 per hour
