Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior A&P Mechanic - Light to support helicopter operations in Corsicana, Texas.

This position is responsible for maintaining the airworthiness, safety, and operational readiness of aircraft supporting critical air medical operations. The ideal candidate will hold a current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate and have at least two years of aircraft maintenance experience as a certified mechanic.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced A&P mechanic looking for a 7-on/7-off schedule, competitive compensation, and a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 while supporting an aviation mission where aircraft reliability directly impacts lives.

Schedule & Location

7 days on / 7 days off

Based in Corsicana, Texas

Candidates must reside within one hour or 60 miles of the assigned base, whichever is greater

Travel between bases may be required

Night-shift work may occasionally be required based on maintenance events

Responsibilities

Review and evaluate daily aircraft maintenance and inspection requirements and perform necessary work to maintain aircraft airworthiness.

Perform troubleshooting, inspection, repair, servicing, and maintenance of aircraft airframe and powerplant systems.

Notify the Lead Mechanic of unusual situations requiring schedule changes, aircraft changes, additional manpower, or technical assistance.

Maintain aircraft assigned to the field base and ensure required maintenance and repairs are completed safely and efficiently.

Monitor parts and supply inventory and requisition replacement parts and spares as necessary.

Maintain the safety and security of company aircraft, equipment, tools, and other assets assigned to the field base.

Prepare maintenance reports, requisitions, inventories, aircraft logs, inspection documentation, and related maintenance records.

Personally certify aircraft maintenance documentation to verify completed work meets applicable FAA and manufacturer requirements.

Maintain accurate electronic maintenance records, including work packages, status sheets, removals, and installations.

Maintain close communication with Lead Mechanics and other maintenance and operational personnel to ensure timely completion of maintenance requirements.

Maintain company-provided special tools and ensure required calibration is completed according to schedule.

Perform additional aviation maintenance duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Current FAA Mechanic Certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant ratings (A&P).

Minimum of 2 years of aircraft maintenance experience as a certified mechanic.

Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Basic computer proficiency and ability to work with electronic maintenance documentation.

Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment physical and functional capacity examinations.

Ability to lift up to 100 pounds as required.

Ability to successfully complete required drug screening and background screening.

Additional Qualifications for Roving Maintenance Assignments

Candidates supporting roving maintenance operations should possess:

Sheet metal repair experience and/or avionics troubleshooting and repair skills.

Ability to travel frequently, including on short notice during a regularly scheduled hitch.

Ability to work night shifts when required by aircraft maintenance events.
