Job Description

Position Summary Maintain aircraft in excellent working order. Inspect, repair, and perform preventative maintenance while complying with regulations and company policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain aircraft troubleshooting, aircraft maintenance, and repair in accordance with applicable regulations, manufacturer's instructions, and company policies. Assess mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems accurately diagnosing issues. Maintain accurate aircraft maintenance records by properly documenting & completing required forms, computer entries, and logbook entries. May wash airplane exteriors or clean interior. Aid Pilots upon arrival or departure. Inventory and maintain supplies, parts, and tools. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety policies. Possess a service excellence attitude in all job aspects Education High School Diploma or equivalent required Certification/License FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate Required Experience At least three (3) years aviation maintenance, diagnosis, and repair experience accurately diagnosing and repairing routine issues. Experience using computerized diagnostic equipment to accurately diagnose operating systems functionality. Experience diagnosing and repairing aviation mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrate knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations Demonstrate knowledge of aviation mechanical systems Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, read repair and maintenance manuals, accurately diagnose, repair, and maintain planes, tools, and equipment. Ability to grasp the operation of an aircraft's systems and solve routine issues Demonstrate knowledge of proper storage and use of chemicals, detergents, and paints. Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English Working a number of evenings every month, working beyond standard 8-5 hours Work Conditions Work is generally performed in a hanger, with need to work outdoors, in all weather conditions Mechanics often work under time pressure to maintain flight schedules or, to keep from inconveniencing our associates Ability to perform work in confined spaces, heights, often stand, lie or kneel in awkward positions and occasionally must work in precarious positions, such as on scaffolds or ladders. Frequently, mechanics must lift or pull objects weighing more than 70 pounds. Noise and vibration are common when engines are being tested, so ear protection is necessary. Compensation The likely pay range for this position is $55.00-$60.00/hr. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
