Position Overview
We are currently hiring experienced FAA-licensed A&P Mechanics in La Grange, Texas. This position will perform maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and servicing on a variety of general aviation and piston aircraft.
Aircraft may include Piper Navajo, Piper Malibu, Piper Saratoga, and other similar general aviation aircraft.
Candidates should be hands-on, dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in both hangar and line maintenance environments.
Responsibilities
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on general aviation and piston aircraft.
Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace aircraft systems and components.
Perform routine and preventative aircraft maintenance.
Diagnose mechanical discrepancies and complete required repairs.
Perform maintenance in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, maintenance manuals, and company procedures.
Properly document maintenance and repairs performed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Work in both hangar and line maintenance environments.
Use personal tools and equipment necessary to complete assigned maintenance tasks.
Work independently and as part of a maintenance team to safely return aircraft to service.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Must hold a current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
General aviation and/or piston aircraft maintenance experience preferred.
Experience with aircraft such as the Piper Navajo, Malibu, Saratoga, or similar aircraft is highly preferred.
Must have your own tools.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
Must be able to read and understand aircraft maintenance manuals, technical documentation, and applicable FAA requirements.
Must have strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
Must be dependable and able to work safely with limited supervision.
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be physically capable of performing aircraft maintenance duties, including:
Standing and walking for extended periods.
Squatting, kneeling, bending, stooping, and working in confined or restricted areas.
Climbing ladders and working at various heights.
Reaching overhead and working in and around aircraft.
Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 75 lbs.
Working in both indoor hangar and outdoor line maintenance environments.
Working around aircraft, tools, equipment, noise, fumes, and varying temperatures.
Work Environment
This is a hands-on aircraft maintenance position supporting general aviation/piston aircraft in La Grange, TX 78945. Mechanics will perform work in both hangar and line maintenance settings and should be comfortable working in a fast-paced aviation maintenance environment.
