COMPANY SUMMARY
Veterans Aviation is a Veteran owned, family-oriented company looking to expand its maintenance team. We are located at the New Braunfels National Airport and specialize in maintenance and repair of single-piston general aviation aircraft. Our goal is to provide customers with the ultimate confidence to fly their airplane safely.
JOB POSITION
Veterans Aviation is currently seeking an entry level A&P Mechanic to assist with maintenance for single piston engine aircraft. Duties Performs preventative and predictive maintenance tasks, inspections, corrective and reactive maintenance tasks, and other procedures as assigned. Disassemble, clean and inspect airframes according to specifications of manufacture maintenance manuals. Remove, reinstall repaired or replacement parts for piston aircraft engine in accordance with maintenance instructions. Identify parts in illustrated parts manuals for engines and airframes from multiple manufactures. Performs tasks relating to the operation including (but are not limited to) cleaning, sweeping, and other hanger maintenance tasks as assigned. Perform additional duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Prior work experience highly preferred (i.e. military service, skill trade, auto repair, industrial equipment maintenance). A.A.S. Degree or have completed Aircraft Maintenance Training program. Must be able to work independently as well as under the supervision of a licensed FAA Mechanic. Must follow all safety processes and procedures. Must have computer skills to navigate aircraft maintenance software and utilize online maintenance manuals/parts catalogs. Must be able to complete assignments and be accountable for the quality of the work product. Must be willing and able to follow outlined checklists, maintenance procedures and task lists. Must be willing to accept supervision while developing consistent interpersonal relationship skills with peers, and all other components of the airport community. Must be able to crouch, crawl, access tight, confined spaces, work under and around small aircraft.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
