Install, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct root cause analysis on electrical and mechanical issues to identify underlying problems efficiently. Perform maintenance and repairs on aircraft electrical systems, including wiring, soldering, and component replacement. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, ohmmeters, ammeters, and coordinate measuring machines to ensure accurate assembly and calibration. Follow FAA regulations (Federal Aviation Regulations) for quality management in all maintenance activities. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to fabricate or modify sheet metal components using welding, power tools, and hand tools. Document all work performed in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for compliance and traceability. Conduct inspections of avionics equipment using schematics to verify proper installation and functionality. Utilize equipment repair skills on various aircraft components while adhering to strict safety protocols. Support aircraft assembly projects by integrating airframe components with avionics systems accurately and efficiently. Proven experience in aircraft maintenance or vehicle/equipment repair with a focus on electrical or mechanical systems. An A&P certificate is required. Strong knowledge of avionics system and reading schematics. Familiarity with FAA regulations related to aviation maintenance and safety standards. Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, ohmmeters, ammeters, and coordinate measuring machines. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately. Mechanical aptitude combined with electrical experience; previous work involving sheet metal fabrication or welding is a plus. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and heavy lifting techniques required for aircraft assembly or repair tasks. Knowledge of military-grade systems or aviation-specific standards is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis efficiently under pressure.
