Job Description

Texas Air Missions is hiring a missionary aircraft mechanic. (Salary , housing, and training available). We are seeking a full-time missionary aircraft mechanic to join our aviation ministry team. An FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic License is preferred but not required. Training and experience for non-licensed mechanics to obtain their A&P license can be provided for the right applicant. This role combines aircraft maintenance, hands-on training, and Christian discipleship in a mission-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform aircraft maintenance and inspections in accordance with applicable standards. Conduct engine overhauls and major maintenance projects. Train and mentor apprentice mechanics in practical skills. Support general flight operations and maintenance shop organization. Share the Gospel. Love people.
Regular Schedule:
Monday through Friday8:00 AM
  • 5:00 PM (Mission essential support outside of those hours will also be required on an as-needed basis.
)
Compensation & Support:
Salary $30-45K depending on experience.
The organization also provides:
Semi-private furnished housing with bedroom, bathroom, and a common area kitchen. Utilities (electricity, water, heating/AC) Internet Laundry facilities All required tools
Additional Opportunities:
At cost flight hours may also be available depending on qualifications and program needs. No cost flight instruction opportunities may also be included for qualified applicants.
Family Considerations:
Housing accommodations are available for a spouse and children.

Texas Air Missions provides missionary aviation and ground services to remote and areas in and around Texas. Every day is different
  • emergencsy disaster response, medical missions, missionary transport, construction projects, etc.
We also operate Missionary Airframe and Powerplant School (MAPS), which provides future missionary aviators with both mechanic and pilot training that qualifies them to test for their FAA mechanic and pilot licenses.
