Job Description

MyFlight is a rapidly expanding aircraft management service, flight club, and Diamond Aircraft Service Center located in Central Florida. With two primary locations in Orlando and Apopka. MyFlight is excited to announce our expansion out West. MyFlight will be opening a new location in Spanish Fork Utah. With this expansion we are seeking a Director of Maintenance (A&P with an IA certificate).
  • Director of Maintenance will be a salaried position.
Our mission to provide exceptional services for aircraft owners is expanding and we are looking for skilled aircraft mechanics to join our team.
Duties:
  • Help build a team of at least one technician to work directly under you (starting phase).
  • As workload increases new team members / techs will be added.
  • Run the shop according to all MyFlight SOPs and ensure all SOPs are being followed by all staff.
  • Ensure all daily tasks are completed and schedules are being met.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on aircraft to ensure they are in safe and working condition
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
  • Repair or replace faulty components using precision measuring instruments and power tools
  • Conduct tests and inspections to identify any potential problems or areas of improvement
  • Follow technical manuals and diagrams to perform repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Keep detailed records of all maintenance work performed on each aircraft
  • Coordinate with other mechanics and technicians to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Adhere to safety regulations and protocols at all times.
Qualifications:
  • High school Diploma or equivalent.
  • Director of Maintenance must hold A&P IA
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification
REQUIRED
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and functions
  • Proficient in using precision measuring instruments, power tools, and other equipment
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems in aircraft
  • Previous experience (1-3 years of General Aviation Experience) in vehicle maintenance or assembly is a plus. Diamond Aircraft experience is highly preferred
  • Ability to weld is a plus.
Composite experience is a plus.
