Job Description
Job Summary
A&P Mechanics are responsible for conducting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft and components. Mechanics must apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and airworthiness.
•
Mechanic Requirements:
- o Responsible for all scheduled and spontaneous maintenance of our aircraft.
- o Must be proficient in regulations and requirements of the FAA to ensure safety.
- o Attend to the needs of the Maintenance Supervisor.
- o Assures that the hangar and their work areas are cleaned and maintained.
o Must utilize the proper documents to complete inspections such as but not limited to: maintenance manuals, service bulletins (SB), airworthiness directives (AD), service letters (SL), advisory circulars (AC), major repairs or alterations (337), instructions for continued airworthiness (ICA), supplement type certificates (STC), authorized release certificate (8130) and the codes of federal regulations.
o Required to complete all inspections and overhauls in accordance with the regulations of the Federal Aviation Administrations (FAA).
o Sign off all inspections in accordance with the
FAR 91.417
Requirements
Have a current FAA Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic Certification.
