Job Description
Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic Perform heavy maintenance, structural repairs, and modifications on Gulfstream and Dash-8 aircraft. Fabricate, install, and repair sheet metal components while ensuring compliance with aviation standards, engineering specifications, and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities Perform aircraft structural repairs, modifications, and heavy maintenance. Fabricate and install sheet metal components. Shoot, buck, and remove rivets to specification. Read and interpret blueprints, work cards, and technical documents. Perform precise metal forming and bending operations. Assess and complete approved structural repairs. Collaborate with maintenance teams in an MRO environment. Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and workmanship. Requirements FAA Airframe or A&P license. 10+ years of aircraft sheet metal experience. Strong in aircraft fabrication, repairs, and modifications. Proficiency with riveting and sheet metal techniques. Ability to identify metal types, thicknesses, and structural properties. Experience in heavy maintenance and MRO environments. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Must possess required tools and toolbox management standards. Work Environment Hangar-based MRO facility. Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
