About the role To provide scheduled & unscheduled Organizational, Intermediate and Depot level maintenance, inspection and repair of KC-135 aircraft at Fairchild AFB WA. The APG/Crew Chief Technician Mechanic II role oversees day-to-day aircraft servicing and maintenance activities, ensures compliance with Air Force technical orders and established procedures, and supports sortie generation by coordinating maintenance actions with cross-functional teams. The position is based at Fairchild AFB and may require domestic and international travel to meet Air Force mission needs. This role is contingent upon contract award.
The company sponsors group medical, dental, vision, basic life paid coverage plans for the employee/family. Employee contributions required.401k plan. Up to fifty-six (56) paid sick hours each calendar year.
Eleven (11) paid holidays.
Employees will accrue PTO at a bi-weekly accrual rate (80 hours annual). Paid Jury Duty. 3-5 days for paid Bereavement Leave. Employee Assistance Program (no cost).

Key responsibilities include:
1. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, servicing, and operational checks on KC-135 airframe, powerplant, hydraulics, landing gear, fuel, and general aircraft systems. 2. Troubleshoot malfunctions using technical orders, schematics, maintenance manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify and correct system discrepancies. 3. Remove, repair, install, adjust, and test aircraft components including panels, control surfaces, actuators, pumps, engines, and associated mechanical assemblies. 4. Lead and coordinate daily aircraft maintenance activities, ensuring proper task prioritization to support launch, recovery, red-ball, and quick-turn operations. 5. Conduct preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight inspections, verifying aircraft status, identifying discrepancies, and initiating required corrective actions. 6. Document all maintenance actions in aircraft forms, digital maintenance systems, and discrepancy logs in accordance with Air Force standards and regulatory requirements. 7. Ensure strict compliance with technical orders, safety requirements, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and quality assurance guidelines. 8. Oversee aircraft servicing operations including fueling, oil servicing, hydraulic replenishment, tire pressure checks, and oxygen system servicing. 9. Coordinate maintenance actions with propulsion, hydraulics, avionics, electrical/environmental, and other specialty shops to resolve cross-system issues. 10. Verify proper operation of flight control systems, engines, landing gear, and supporting subsystems through functional tests and operational checks. 11. Participate in phase, isochronal, and special inspections, identifying discrepancies and recommending corrective actions. 12. Maintain strict adherence to technical orders, safety protocols, quality assurance procedures, and proper use of required PPE. 13. Support other duties assigned by the Site Supervisor or Shift Lead. About youWe'd love to hear from you if you have: 1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Minimum three years of aircraft experience on an Air Force wide-body platform (preferably KC-135) or equivalent 5-level qualification. 3. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and Common Access Card 4. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and possess a motor vehicle driver's license. 5. Must obtain a passport for OCONUS travel.
