Job Description
Guardian Security Systems is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Security Systems Technician to join our Fairbanks team. This position is ideal for a technician who can work independently, troubleshoot technical issues, deliver quality installations and service, and maintain strong customer relationships. What You'll Do Install, program, test, troubleshoot, and maintain CCTV, access control, intercom, intrusion, and related electronic security systems. Configure and troubleshoot IP cameras, NVRs, servers, access control panels, card readers, and related equipment. Travel to customer locations throughout the Fairbanks area and, when needed, other Alaska locations. Maintain a safe, organized work environment and comply with all company safety policies and procedures. Participate in after-hours, weekend, and on-call rotations as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of hands-on experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting CCTV, access control, low-voltage, or related electronic security systems. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical, electronic, hardware, and network-related problems. Working knowledge of IP-based security systems and basic networking fundamentals. Ability to operate common hand and power tools. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to read and understand system documentation, wiring diagrams, and installation requirements. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team. Valid Alaska driver's license or ability to obtain one. Ability to pass required local and federal background checks. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work a flexible full Other duties as assigned. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
