In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting fire systems, associated with life safety equipment. Your technical skills and customer service mindset will help safeguard property and lives while supporting building code compliance and fire safety standards. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance of hand-held fire safety devices to ensure optimal operation. Perform troubleshooting and repairs on fire safety equipment using hand tools, power tools, and engineering troubleshooting techniques aligned with NFPA standards and building codes. Ensure all work complies with fire codes, NFPA standards, NEC regulations, and local building code requirements for fire safety systems. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system functions, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols to clients. Document all service activities thoroughly through detailed reports, logs, and system documentation for compliance purposes. Qualifications Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and building schematics. Familiarity with proprietary fire control equipment and low voltage electrical work is highly desirable. Knowledge of NFPA standards (National Fire Protection Association), and fire codes is a plus. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment for electrical work and system troubleshooting. Construction inspection experience or engineering troubleshooting skills are a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
