Location Flagstaff, AZ Pay Rate $25 - $30 per hour (based on experience and certifications) Employment Type Contract-to-Hire Position Overview The Fire Extinguisher Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, servicing, and recharging fire extinguishers in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. This position plays a critical role in helping protect lives and property by ensuring fire safety equipment remains operational and code compliant. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of fire extinguishers to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards
• Perform maintenance, repairs, cleaning, reassembly, and recharging of fire extinguishers
• Inspect and replace components such as hoses, valves, seals, and nozzles as needed
• Install and service extinguisher brackets, signage, and related safety equipment
• Respond to service calls and troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently
• Educate customers on proper fire extinguisher use and fire safety procedures
• Maintain accurate service documentation and inspection records
• Assist with inventory management and organization of equipment and supplies
• Work closely with coordinators to optimize routes, schedules, and customer service
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Fire Extinguisher Technician certifications such as NFPA 10 or NAFED preferred
• Previous fire extinguisher inspection, maintenance, or fire protection experience highly preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and working in industrial or outdoor environments
