Responsible for inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining fire alarm systems and life safety equipment across commercial, healthcare, industrial, and educational facilities. This role ensures systems operate according to NFPA 72 standards , local AHJ requirements , and safety procedures while providing excellent customer service and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities:

Perform scheduled fire alarm inspections, testing, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of life safety systems . Complete service reports, inspection documentation, and service tickets using mobile applications , Siemens software , laptops, and PC-based systems. Identify system deficiencies, code violations, impairments, and recommend corrective actions to customers and management. Support emergency service calls and customer requests while maintaining service commitments. Maintain tools, test equipment , safety gear, vehicle stock, and required documentation. Collaborate with customers, service coordinators, supervisors, and account teams to ensure successful service delivery. Follow all safety policies, complete pre-job safety assessments , and maintain compliance with NFPA standards and local regulations.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required. Experience with fire alarm inspection, testing, troubleshooting, or maintenance preferred. Knowledge of NFPA 72 , fire alarm system operations, and life safety codes preferred. NICET Fire Alarm Systems Certification or inspection/testing certification is a plus. Experience with fire doors, fire/smoke dampers (FSDs), emergency lighting, and portable fire extinguisher inspections preferred. Ability to read and understand design drawings and construction documents . Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and PC/mobile-based reporting tools. Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills. Valid driver's license and ability to travel between job sites. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs , climb ladders, operate lifts, and work in various commercial environments.

Pay:

$35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
