About the Position We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our growing Fire Alarm Division. This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for someone who can independently troubleshoot, service, inspect, program, and install commercial fire alarm systems while providing excellent customer service and technical leadership. The ideal candidate is dependable, technically skilled, organized, and comfortable working directly with customers, inspectors, project managers, and other trades. This position involves travel throughout Northern California using a company vehicle. What You'll Do Service, inspect, and troubleshoot commercial fire alarm systems Perform inspections and testing in accordance with applicable fire codes and manufacturer requirements Diagnose system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions Complete accurate inspection reports, service documentation, and job records Program and service multiple fire alarm platforms and manufacturers Coordinate with customers, contractors, and internal departments to complete projects successfully Ensure work is completed safely, professionally, and in compliance with company standards Stay current on industry codes, regulations, and technology developments Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of commercial fire alarm experience Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Experience servicing and programming commercial fire alarm systems Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong communication and customer service skills Valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record Preferred Qualifications NICET Fire Alarm Certification (Level I or higher) Additional fire/life safety certifications Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry equipment and tools Ability to climb ladders and work at heights Ability to work in construction environments, mechanical rooms, rooftops, and occupied commercial facilities Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions We offer a competitive compensation package that includes: Medical insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Company-paid life insurance Retirement plan Paid time off and paid holidays Use of company vehicle and equipment Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Advancement opportunities within a growing organization Why Firecode?
