SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing all alarm install and/or service work as assigned according to the prescribed guidelines. Assist with inspections, as necessary. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, the Install and/or Service Technician may be expected to perform some or all of the duties listed below:
  • Job installations
  • Service accounts
  • Conduct service calls according to the prescribed processes
  • Interact with customers
  • Report and perform tracking as designated by management processes
  • Prepare accurate and timely service-call tickets for submission to Service/Operations management
  • Maintain company vehicle and organize truck
  • stock parts and tools
  • Candidate should have 5+ years of industry experience Knowledge Candidate must have knowledge and understanding of the electrical requirements, alarm initiating devices, control functions, alarm indicating appliances and the power requirements of a fire alarm system.
Required knowledge also includes an understanding of the operation and use of manual fire alarm boxes, automatic fire detectors, audible and visual signaling appliances, enunciators and other basic components of a fire alarm system. Skills

  • Ability to manage a varied and heavy workload and set priorities
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, push, pull or feel and talk and hear.
Candidate must be able to stand, twist, walk, grasp and reach for extended periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Candidate must be able to work on a ladder. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places.
