Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Fire Suppression Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing kitchen fire suppression systems designed to protect restaurant kitchens and industrial food preparation areas. Your expertise will help ensure rapid response capabilities and safety compliance, contributing directly to our clients' peace of mind. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Kitchen Fire Suppression Technician to join our team in San Jose, California. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience servicing, installing, and inspecting commercial kitchen fire suppression systems. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and protecting client facilities. Duties Install kitchen fire suppression systems according to blueprints, schematics, and system design specifications using hand tools and power tools. Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire suppression units to verify proper operation and compliance with safety standards. Read and interpret technical drawings including CAD files, schematics, and electrical diagrams related to fire suppression systems. Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on fire suppression components such as sensors, nozzles, valves, and electrical wiring. Collaborate with construction teams during new installations or upgrades by reviewing blueprints Document all service activities thoroughly in service reports; communicate findings clearly to clients and team members. Assist in the sales process by providing technical expertise on fire alarm systems and related safety solutions. Requirements Proven experience with fire sprinkler fitting, fire alarm systems, or kitchen fire suppression systems. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings accurately. Familiarity with low voltage electrical systems, sensors, power tools, hand tools, and construction inspection procedures. Knowledge of NEC standards related to electrical wiring and system installation in commercial settings. Field service experience working directly with clients on system installation or maintenance projects. Ability to interpret schematics related to fire alarm sensors and low voltage wiring configurations.
