  • Full-time Job Overview Must have experience with Crestron Lutron and Control 4 We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Low Voltage Technician to spearhead our low voltage systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting efforts.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of skilled technicians in delivering top-tier security, communication, and surveillance solutions across diverse construction and service projects. As the leader in this specialized field, you will drive project success through technical expertise, strategic planning, and exceptional customer service. Your energetic approach and proactive mindset will ensure seamless system integration and reliable operation of all low voltage infrastructure. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of low voltage systems including CCTV, fire alarms, security systems, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and telecommunication networks. Oversee field service activities, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and according to schematics and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and recommend tailored solutions that incorporate system design principles for optimal performance. Manage cabling, wiring, and power distribution using hand tools and power tools while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct system testing, remote access configuration, troubleshooting, and diagnostics for security systems and network connectivity issues. Train and mentor junior technicians on technical procedures, schematics interpretation, locksmithing basics, and the use of specialized tools. Maintain detailed documentation including schematics, installation reports, incident logs, and service records to ensure compliance with industry standards. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician or lead in low voltage systems installation or maintenance within security or telecommunication fields. Strong knowledge of computer networking, computer hardware, system design concepts, sensors, CCTV surveillance equipment, fire alarm systems, alarm system sales processes, and security protocols. Mechanical knowledge related to construction practices and the use of hand tools and power tools for cabling and equipment installation. Familiarity with NEC regulations governing electrical work in commercial or industrial settings. Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical drawings for system setup or troubleshooting. Experience with remote access software for system monitoring and diagnostics. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with clients, team members, contractors, and vendors effectively. Valid electrical license or certification preferred; relevant locksmithing or security certifications are a plus.
