Journeyman Lead/Foreman -
Connex/Command Center Build-Out Overview:
Lead the fire alarm and electrical build-out of shipping container/Connex-based Command Centers, managing two crews/projects simultaneously from rough-in through final commissioning.
Responsibilities:
Run and coordinate two Connex/container build crews concurrently, managing schedules, manpower, and daily production Read and execute from container build drawings and fire alarm/electrical plans Install, wire, and terminate fire alarm devices and systems inside Connex units: panels, initiating devices, notification devices, and associated conduit/cable pathways Perform minor electrical panel work and connections in support of fire alarm system power and integration Ensure each container meets spec for structural penetrations, device mounting, and code compliance Assign daily tasks to journeymen and apprentices, and verify quality of work before sign-off Coordinate with project managers on material needs, delivery schedules, and site logistics Troubleshoot field issues and make on-the-spot decisions to keep both crews on schedule Enforce job site safety standards and conduct toolbox talks Maintain daily production reports and manpower logs
Qualifications:
Journeyman-level license/certification (Electrical, Fire Alarm, or equivalent trade) Proven experience building out or outfitting Connex/shipping container units — command centers, equipment shelters, or modular structures Minimum 3-5 years leading crews as a Lead or Foreman Strong working knowledge of fire alarm system installation and minor electrical panel work/connections Ability to run two crews at different sites or phases without daily direct supervision Comfortable reading construction drawings, fire alarm plans, and spec sheets Reliable transportation, own hand tools
Leadership Qualifications:
Track record of managing crew size of 4+ across multiple simultaneous work areas Strong verbal communication with PMs, GCs, and field techs Ability to train and mentor journeymen and apprentices in the field Accountable for production output, quality control, and safety compliance across both crews Experience resolving field conflicts and keeping crews productive under tight deadlines
Preferred:
Experience with military, government, or data center Connex/container projects NICET certification (Fire Alarm Systems)

Pay:
$50-$55/hour, based on experience Medical, vision, and dental benefits offered Mileage reimbursement

Pay:
$50.00 - $55.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
