Job Description

Emergency Response Coordinator (Fire Chaser) ServiceMaster Apple Valley
  • Southington/Central CT
  • Commission Based
  • Uncapped If you've been capped by a commission plan that punished you for having a good year, keep reading .
We built this role on a simple belief: commission is earned by your work, not granted by us. If you're bringing in real revenue, there should be no ceiling on what you take home. We're looking for someone who knows this industry from the inside, who can build relationships and sustain them, and who has the tact to stand with a homeowner in the middle of a catastrophe and walk them toward recovery instead of just pitching at them. This role is commission only, uncapped, and we're looking for the person who reads that as an opportunity rather than a risk. What you'll do Respond to active fire and water losses across CT, mostly within Hartford, New Haven, and Litchfield counties Monitor real-time emergency dispatch and lead feeds, on call nights, weekends, and holidays Get to the scene and make first contact with the property owner. Listen first. Explain the restoration process and what happens next, answer insurance questions in plain language, and get the work signed. The goal here is to be the person who lightens the load, not one more thing to manage Build and hold relationships with fire departments, police, EMS, municipal officials, adjusters, and agents. The people who see the loss first are the people who make or break this role Hand the job off to the mitigation department. Log every lead, contact, and outcome Key needs for this role You're calm in a chaotic environment. You can talk to someone on the worst day of their life without sounding like a salesman, and still walk out with a signed contract. You don't need to be managed, chased, or motivated. You already have a phone full of people who trust you. Requirements One of these two backgrounds: 1) 2+ years selling in restoration, insurance, public adjusting, or construction, with a track record of closing, 2) OR active/retired firefighter, police officer, or EMS with a strong local network and proven ability to close a deal Valid CT driver's license and clean driving record Willing and able to be on call 24/7, including nights, weekends, and holidays Comfortable working independently in the field Able to pass a background check Compensation + Benefits Commission based: 2.5 to 3% of collected revenue on both mitigation and reconstruction No cap. No territory limits inside Connecticut. No lead throttling. What you bring in is what you earn. Paid Time Off Health Insurance What we provide Company vehicle, or mileage reimbursement Company phone Company card for supplies and emergency recovery kits Gear, equipment, and branded apparel Real-time emergency dispatch lead subscription, active at start date About us ServiceMaster Apple Valley has served the state of Connecticut for years as a full-service disaster restoration company. We handle fire, water, mold, and reconstruction in house, and we're a trusted vendor for major carriers. When you sell a job here, you're not gambling on whether we can deliver. Wade, a former minor league baseball player, ServiceMaster has stood by its word and its customers. As a result, it has grown into a world-class company composed of a family of brands that provides residential and commercial services to 5 million customers in the past year alone.
