Duties Lead and coordinate fire alarm system installation projects, ensuring adherence to blueprints, schematics, and building code requirements Oversee the inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems, including proprietary control panels and sensors Read electrical blueprints and schematics to facilitate accurate system design and troubleshooting Conduct field service visits for system repairs, upgrades, and commissioning of fire alarm systems in compliance with NFPA standards and local fire codes Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to ensure proper integration of fire alarm and sprinkler systems Train and mentor junior technicians on system installation techniques, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance Maintain detailed documentation of inspections, repairs, system modifications, and compliance reports for regulatory agencies Qualifications Proven experience as a fire alarm technician or service technician with a strong background in fire alarm system maintenance and installation Extensive knowledge of fire alarm systems, sensors, proprietary control panels, sprinkler systems, low voltage electrical work, and schematics reading Proficiency in blueprint reading, CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for system design layouts, and electrical blueprint interpretation Familiarity with NFPA standards (National Fire Protection Association), NEC (National Electrical Code), building codes, and fire safety regulations Mechanical knowledge related to sprinkler fitting and low voltage electrical systems Experience with engineering troubleshooting techniques using tools such as voltmeters and hand tools in the field Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and team members Valid certifications in fire alarm systems installation or inspection preferred; relevant licenses or certifications required by local authorities are a plus Join our team as a Lead Fire Alarm Technician to make a meaningful impact by ensuring life safety through reliable fire detection systems.
