Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Lead Technician to lead and perform the installation, testing, commissioning, service and troubleshooting of physical security systems. The ideal candidate will have strong security system technical expertise, a positive can-do attitude and solid communication skills. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise technicians on security system installation projects. Install, test, commission, service and troubleshoot access control, CCTV/video surveillance and intrusion systems. Install and properly terminate security panels, cameras, locking devices, door contacts, motion sensors and related equipment. Read and interpret architectural drawings, security plans and installation specifications. Diagnose and resolve hardware, wiring and system deficiencies. Coordinate with customers, contractors, project managers and other trades. Ensure all work meets applicable codes, safety requirements, customer specifications and industry standards. Maintain project schedules while ensuring quality and professional workmanship. Provide technical guidance, training and support to other technicians. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial security systems, with lead technician or foreman experience preferred. Strong experience with access control, CCTV/video surveillance and intrusion/burglar alarm systems. Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently. Experience with low-voltage wiring, panel termination, and security hardware. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical documentation. Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines. Professional, dependable, self-motivated and customer-focused. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred. Preferred Experience Experience with Genetec, S2, Brivo, AMAG, Lenel and Aiphone is preferred but not required. Florida Security License Certified Alarm System Contractor I or II license is preferred but not required.
