Job Description

Safe Haven Security, a leading Authorized ADT Dealer, is seeking Installation Technicians to install, configure, and service smart home and security systems for residential and small-business customers. In this field-based role, you'll wire and mount devices, program control panels, integrate cameras and smart home components, and ensure reliable connectivity. You'll educate customers on system use, troubleshoot issues onsite, and identify opportunities for upgrades. Expect a fast-paced, performance-driven culture with hands-on training, uncapped commission potential, and clear paths into sales, leadership, or technical specialist roles as we expand nationwide. Responsibilities Install, wire, and mount ADT smart home and security equipment in residential and small-business settings Program control panels, sensors, cameras, and smart devices to meet customer needs and system specifications Configure basic networking, including Wi-Fi connectivity and router integration for smart devices Test, troubleshoot, and repair systems to ensure optimal performance and signal reliability Educate customers on system features, app use, and best practices for safety and security Maintain accurate installation records, job notes, and inventory of equipment and materials Follow safety, code, and quality standards while working in customer homes and businesses Collaborate with sales and customer support teams to ensure smooth installations and satisfied customers Identify and communicate opportunities for system upgrades, add-ons, and additional services Manage daily schedule, routes, and customer appointments efficiently and professionally Required Skills Low-voltage wiring Alarm and security system installation Smart home device configuration Network/router setup and troubleshooting Use of hand and power tools Equipment testing and diagnostics Customer education and training Technical documentation and recordkeeping Time management and route planning Basic sales and upselling
