As our team grows, we are looking for a skilled, safety-conscious Fire Alarm System Installation Technician to join us in safeguarding our community. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced fire alarm system installation technician to handle the end-to-end wiring, installation and programming of commercial fire alarm and other low voltage systems. You will work with cutting-edge life safety technology, interpret blueprints, and collaborate with field teams to ensure systems are fully functional, compliant, and completed within budget and schedule.

Key Responsibilities System Layout:

Able to interpret shop drawings and technical documents to ensure proper system installation.

System Installation:

Install cable, devices and other components for a fully functioning fire alarm system.

Testing & Commissioning:

Programming Fire Alarm Panel, Testing and Troubleshooting system to guarantee code compliance and proper communication with central monitoring station.

Collaboration:

Work with project managers, team members and contractors to complete milestones safely and efficiently.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate, clean records of installations(as-built drawings) as well as daily communication on progress & schedules.

What We Are Looking For Experience:

Minimum 2+ years of field experience in fire alarm system installation or low-voltage electrical work

Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of low-voltage electronics, troubleshooting skills and basic computer knowledge.

Knowledge:

Familiarity with

NFPA 70 & 72

codes, local life safety requirements, and OSHA safety standards.

Requirements:

Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Clean pre-employment background check and drug test. Ability to lift heavy equipment and work from ladders & lifts.
