Fire Alarm Service Technician Century Fire Protection Tallahassee, FL Job Details Full-time 23 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Flexible spending account Paid time off On-the-job training Employee assistance program Vision insurance 401(k) matching Professional development assistance Opportunities for advancement Life insurance Referral program Retirement plan Full Job Description Sign-on Bonus Dependent on Experience Summary Responsible for fire alarm service and repair including performing daily service calls on various fire alarm systems, including Edwards, Silent Knight, Fire-Lite, Notifier, Bosch, and Honeywell. The technician will be tasked with tracking and tracing ground faults and shorted circuits, as well as replacing fire alarm devices and appliances. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Maintain and service fire alarm systems. Troubleshooting both addressable and conventional panels. Programming fire alarm panels using laptop software and installing cellular communicators. Layout, assemble, low voltage equipment for fire alarm systems, ensuring work complies with relevant codes and regulations. Test all features and equipment to ensure optimum functioning. Read, understand, and follow product manuals and educate customers on care and maintenance of systems. Write and submit customer status and completion reports. Oversee and direct helpers. Education and/or Experience Associate or technical degree and 1+ years of experience in low voltage or AC voltage or equivalent education and experience; knowledge of NEC (National Electric Code) and NFPA 72; experience with Notifier and NICET I or II preferred. Additional Requirements Pre-employment drug screen and clean MVR.
