In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic security systems that safeguard facilities and assets. Your expertise in electrical wiring, system design, and technical troubleshooting will ensure seamless operation of access control, and other low-voltage security systems. Responsibilities Install, configure, and troubleshoot access control systems including door security system integration. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate system setup and maintenance. Perform low-voltage electrical wiring and cabling for security equipment using hand tools and power tools while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on security hardware such as cameras, sensors, fire alarms, and network equipment to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose complex issues related to computer hardware, network connectivity, remote access software, and electrical systems; provide effective troubleshooting support. Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs; assist in system design and recommend appropriate solutions for new installations or upgrades. Maintain detailed service records, installation logs, schematics updates, and incident reports; ensure all documentation complies with safety standards. Support emergency response procedures by quickly addressing system failures or malfunctions to minimize downtime. Experience Minimum of 3 years Proven experience as a service technician or installer specializing in electrical security systems such as access control systems. Strong mechanical knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems including wiring techniques and schematics reading. Hands-on experience with door security system integration. Familiarity with computer networking concepts relevant to security systems including remote access software setup and troubleshooting. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and electrical blueprints accurately. Knowledge of NEC regulations related to low-voltage wiring practices for safety compliance. Prior experience working with surveillance equipment, alarm sales support or technical troubleshooting in physical security environments is required. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
