We don't service fire alarms systems - we build and maintain trusting relationships with women and men that just happen to manage properties that are protected by fire alarm systems. Southfire Systems (SFS) is a Life Safety Commercial Fire Alarm Company that provides monitoring, maintenance and scheduled annual inspections. We are looking to hire an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to "somewhere between Boca Raton and Palm Beach Gardens" to join the Southfire Team.
Job Description:
Install, inspect, service & repair fire alarm systems Handle service issues on-site including accurately preparing paperwork. Communicate clearly as a team with coworkers and customers. Evaluate and diagnose equipment that requires servicing as well as troubleshoot problems. Provide specific solutions and recommendations to the service manager. Must be available to respond to occasional after hours on call schedule.
Required Skills:
2 or more years of experience as a Service Technician within the Fire Protection industry. Completion of
FASA, BASA
certification within 90 days. Experience and/or Certification working with some of the following systems: Siemens, EST, Silent Knight, Simplex, Notifier, FCI, and Fire Lite. Ability to run conduit and cable. Strong knowledge of building & fire codes for inspection purposes. Strong problem-solving abilities and customer relation skills. Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 50lbs and climb ladders and scaffolding. Must pass state mandated background check, drug screen and possess a valid motor vehicle license with a clean driving record. Job sites are located throughout the tri-county area.
