Job Description

CAD Operator Entry-level position for an aspiring Fire Sprinkler Designer. This position works with Architectural, Mechanical, Civil and Structural drawings to produce production Fire Sprinkler System drawings for submission to local fire departments and our installation crews. Once trained, Designer's responsibilities include design layout, field checking, fabrication listing, material equipment submittals, hydraulic calculations, applicable installation requirements, and close out procedures. Responsible for ensuring designs in compliance with NFPA standards as well as ensuring delivery of quality service to the customer while maintaining scope of the ASA Fire obligations. Strong potential for advancement through on the job work training to meet the NICET certifications, develop knowledge of building codes, fire sprinkler technology, and gain advanced CAD design skills as he/she achieves NICET certification levels.
Position requires the following:
Valid Driver's license Basic computer skills Microsoft Office Software Proficiency with AutoCAD Problem resolution skills, communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and spatial orientation skills Attention to detail required. General knowledge of construction Preferred prior or current experience working in the fire protection industry but not required.
