Job Description

Job Description Responsibilities Service, repair, install, and maintain commercial fire alarm and life safety systems and peripheral devices. Test and verify alarm panels, sirens, horns, strobes, and other system components to ensure proper operation and compliance with manufacturer specifications. Use multimeters to perform voltage, resistance, and circuit analysis. Program and reprogram fire alarm systems using programming software, computers, and related programming tools. Service and troubleshoot Notifier, Simplex, EST, or similar fire alarm systems. Service Video Surveillance/CCTV systems. Service Card Access systems. Service Nurse Call systems. Complete required service paperwork and submit documentation to the appropriate department daily. Maintain company vehicles in clean and proper operating condition, including fueling, washing, and arranging periodic maintenance. Provide professional and respectful customer service when interacting with customers, contractors, property managers, facilities directors, vendors, coworkers, supervisors, and management. May oversee or provide direction to other technicians as required. Participate in on-call responsibilities as required. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management. Follow all required safety, licensing, certification, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Degree in Electronics preferred, or 1-3 years of related experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must meet all proficiency requirements of a NICET Level II Technician. Must obtain NICET Level II Certification within two years of employment. Ability to obtain required state licenses and certifications for work in the security and life safety industry. Experience servicing Notifier, Simplex, EST, or similar fire alarm systems. Experience servicing Video Surveillance/CCTV systems. Experience servicing Card Access systems. Experience servicing Nurse Call systems. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's license required. Must be able to pass required pre-employment background checks. Must demonstrate integrity, communication, excellent service, and accountability. Work Environment Primarily field-based work at commercial customer and construction locations. Full-time, 1st shift position. Requires regular interaction with customers, contractors, property managers, facilities directors, vendors, and internal teams. May require on-call work outside normal business hours. Requires use of company vehicle and adherence to applicable safety procedures. May require working with electronic, fire alarm, security, and life safety equipment in various commercial environments.
