ABOUT THE ROLE

We're hiring a quality-oriented Fire Suppression Systems Technician to install kitchen hood fire suppression systems, inspect hand portable fire extinguishers, and support our shop area with hydro-testing and recharging portable extinguishers. You'll also work on industrial and vehicle suppression systems. All work is performed in accordance with NFPA 10, 17, 17A, and 96.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Install kitchen hood fire suppression systems
• Inspect hand portable fire extinguishers
• Hydro-test and recharge portable fire extinguishers in our shop area
• Service kitchen, industrial, and vehicle suppression systems
• Perform all work in accordance with NFPA 10, 17, 17A, and 96
• Juggle multiple tasks to maintain production deadlines
• Take on other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Illinois Extinguisher license, plus Illinois Kitchen and Industrial licenses
• Mechanical aptitude and a quality-oriented approach to your work
• Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
• Background in plumbing or pipe fitting is helpful, but not required
• Motivated and able to work independently or in a team environment
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug test, and background check

SCHEDULE & TRAINING

This is a full-time, Monday through Friday. In some instances, overnight work will be required as needed. Training is provided on all equipment, and compensation will be commensurate with your experience.
