We're hiring a quality-oriented Fire Suppression Systems Technician to install kitchen hood fire suppression systems, inspect hand portable fire extinguishers, and support our shop area with hydro-testing and recharging portable extinguishers. You'll also work on industrial and vehicle suppression systems. All work is performed in accordance with NFPA 10, 17, 17A, and 96.WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Install kitchen hood fire suppression systems
- Inspect hand portable fire extinguishers
- Hydro-test and recharge portable fire extinguishers in our shop area
- Service kitchen, industrial, and vehicle suppression systems
- Perform all work in accordance with NFPA 10, 17, 17A, and 96
- Juggle multiple tasks to maintain production deadlines
- Take on other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Illinois Extinguisher license, plus Illinois Kitchen and Industrial licenses
- Mechanical aptitude and a quality-oriented approach to your work
- Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
- Background in plumbing or pipe fitting is helpful, but not required
- Motivated and able to work independently or in a team environment
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug test, and background check
