Senior Fire Alarm Technician Job Description As a Senior Fire Alarm Technician, you will play a pivotal role in installing, servicing, troubleshooting, programming, and maintaining fire alarm systems. You will diagnose system faults and perform repairs with efficiency and accuracy, ensuring that inspections, testing, and maintenance align with applicable codes and regulations. You will utilize your expertise in systems such as KIDDE and Bosch, and complete necessary service reports and documentation. Communication is key, and you will engage professionally with customers, building owners, facility managers, and authorities having jurisdiction. Your role will demand high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer service, with opportunities to mentor junior technicians. Responsibilities Install, service, and maintain fire alarm systems. Diagnose system faults and perform accurate repairs. Conduct inspections, testing, and maintenance in accordance with codes and regulations. Work with KIDDE, Bosch, and related fire alarm equipment. Complete service reports and inspection documentation. Communicate professionally with customers and stakeholders. Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer service. Mentor junior technicians and provide technical guidance. Essential Skills 5+ years of professional fire alarm experience preferred. Proficient knowledge of KIDDE and Bosch fire alarm systems. Experience troubleshooting conventional and addressable fire alarm systems. Solid understanding of NFPA standards and applicable fire alarm codes. Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and system drawings. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Additional Skills & Qualifications NICET Certification preferred. Experience in servicing and testing alarm systems. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role involves traveling to various locations across Indiana, primarily around Indianapolis, depending on project requirements. Most work will be completed within the same day, with occasional overnight stays occurring 1-2 times a year. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Fishers, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $83200.00
  • $93600.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Direct Hire with Company
