Certification Full Job Description Key Responsibilities:

Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience installing, servicing, troubleshooting, testing, and maintaining commercial fire alarm systems, with particular expertise in Edwards, KIDDE, and Bosch fire alarm systems.

Key Responsiblitlies:

Install, service, troubleshoot, program, and maintain fire alarm systems. Diagnose system faults and perform repairs efficiently and accurately. Conduct inspections, testing, and maintenance in accordance with applicable codes and regulations. Work with Edwards, KIDDE, Bosch, and related fire alarm equipment. Complete service reports, inspection documentation, and other required paperwork .Communicate professionally with customers, building owners, facility managers, and AHJs. Maintain a high standard of workmanship, safety, and customer service. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technicians when needed. Qualifications 5+ years of professional fire alarm experience preferred. Strong knowledge of Edwards, KIDDE, and Bosch fire alarm systems. Experience troubleshooting conventional and addressable fire alarm systems. Solid understanding of NFPA standards and applicable fire alarm codes. Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and system drawings.

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Requirements:

Education:

High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.

Background Check & Drug Screening:

Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.

Driver's License:

Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean and insurable driving record. You also must have reliable transportation.

Certifications:

NICET certification and/or ESA certification is strongly preferred. Candidates with additional fire alarm, NICET, manufacturer, or industry certifications are encouraged to apply.

Physical Requirements:

Work prolonged hours, including in restrictive or confined areas. Work indoors and outdoors in temperatures ranging from -20°F to 120°F and on various types of terrain. Wear required PPE for the duration of the shift, including hard hats, safety glasses, earplugs, gloves, and other required PPE. Set up, climb, and work from stepladders, extension ladders, platforms, scaffolding, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts. Lift and/or carry materials or equipment weighing 50 lbs. or more for short durations and moderate distances; assistance is required for anything over 50 lbs. Push and/or pull materials or equipment weighing 120 lbs. or more. Perform job tasks while bending, stooping, crouching, crawling, standing, lying prone, and reaching outward, overhead, and downward for extended periods. Drive using both hands and both feet. Use both hands independently and/or together.
