Job Description

Stewart Richey Construction, Inc. is looking for a skilled Fire Alarm Inspection and Testing Technician with at least 2 years experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems in various business sectors such as Commercial, Industrial, Distribution, Hospitality and Institutional located in the South-Central Kentucky. You will perform some installation/inspections/testing/troubleshooting and mainly performing service while documenting issues. Applicants for this position should have prior experience with Notifier, Firelite, Silent Knight, EST, or similar systems. You should also be knowledgeable about NFPA standards, including NFPA 70 and 72 and having NICET certification(s) are a huge plus!
Fire Alarm Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections of fire alarm systems in various buildings Perform testing and maintenance of fire alarm systems, including troubleshooting and repairs Document all inspections, testing and repairs accurately Ensure all work is completed in a professional manner and done in accordance with state and federal regulations Respond to emergency service calls Maintain a clean and safe workspace Be able to pass background/driving record check and drug screen
Fire Alarm Technician Requirements and Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED certificate Knowledge of NFPA standards a plus (including 70 and 72) Troubleshooting and service skills Ability to work on ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.
