Job Description

Acadian Total Security, a division of Acadian companies, has an immediate opening for a full-time Regional Security System Technician II in Lafayette, LA. Employee must be available for a rotating on-call schedule that may require employee to immediately come to work to handle technical issues.
JOB FUNCTIONS 1
Install, maintain, and trouble shoot alarm equipment issues. 2 Maintain internal data regarding system set-ups, reporting, and notification for customers. 3 Maintains or establishes customer relations through pro-active and effective communications with new or existing customers. 4 Explain procedures related to monitoring alarms and processing alarms to customers. 5 Diagnose and rectify customer issues with the purchasing and selection process of alarm equipment. 6 Maintains spreadsheets, records, processes, procedures and documentation of system designs. 7 Maintains vehicle inventory control of alarm equipment and all other products used by ATS. 8 Maintains workplace cleanliness and makes sure that all equipment is maintained properly. 9 Remains educated and informed of industry trends in products, procedures and services. 10 Ensures that customer installations and issues are resolved promptly and professionally. 11 Provides customer support on any and all issues experienced by ATS customers. 12 Maintains all necessary reporting for administration.
QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High School diploma or GED. Must be PC literate with some familiarity with MS Word and Excel. Strong organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must have State Level 1 and Level 2 installer license/certification. Minimum 3 years of experience installing Intrusion (security), Fire, CCTV, and Access Control systems.
