This position involves working with a crew to install low voltage cabling and devices for life safety systems. Responsibilities Install cable and devices for low voltage systems including, but not limited to, fire alarm systems, CCTV, nurse call, access control, security, and voice data. Leading a crew of one to two helpers to complete assigned tasks in a timely and effective manner. Time manager and self-starting abilities are crucial. Read and interpret technical drawings, including floor plans and schematics, to ensure accurate system layout and installation. Effectively communicate with team leaders, office personnel, and on-site contractors the status and next steps for each assigned project. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to assemble, wire, and troubleshoot low-voltage electrical systems. Maintain detailed documentation of as-builts, installations, inspections, test results, and service reports for quality assurance. Requirements This position includes the use of ladders and man lift style equipment to work at heights to complete installations. One year of experience with fire alarm or low voltage installations preferred. Electrical background is a plus. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, CAD drawings, and electrical diagrams accurately. Familiarity with low-voltage wiring practices and safety protocols. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, testing meters, and other field service equipment effectively. Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States. Candidate must have a driver's license and transportation to jobsites. Transportation to multiple jobsites each day is possible.

Pay:

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
