Experience Alarm System Technician

Responsibilities Install, configure, and test alarm systems, sensors, fire alarms, and access control devices in commercial and residential settings Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on low voltage electrical systems, cabling, and network connections to ensure optimal system performance Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately install and repair complex security infrastructure Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete installations efficiently and safely Provide on-site technical support for system design modifications or upgrades based on client needs or evolving security standards Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and system documentation for each project or service call Collaborate with clients to understand their security requirements and recommend appropriate solutions including alarm system sales opportunities Requirements Must Have Experience in GE Concord, DSC NEO, Resideo System. Proven experience as a service technician specializing in alarm systems or security technology with a strong background in field service operations Solid knowledge of computer networking principles relevant to security systems including remote access software and telecommunication connections Mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience related to low voltage wiring, cabling techniques, NEC (National Electrical Code) standards, and power tools operation sensors (motion detectors), IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and lock mechanisms Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical diagrams for system design or troubleshooting purposes Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, security protocols, and alarm system sales strategies is preferred Excellent problem-solving skills with the capacity to diagnose issues quickly in diverse environments including construction sites or existing facilities Valid driver's license with the ability to travel locally for on-site installations or repairs Join us if you're eager to make a tangible impact by safeguarding properties through innovative security solutions!
