on going Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Low Voltage Technician to oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low-voltage electrical systems across various security and communication platforms. This pivotal role requires a comprehensive understanding of electrical wiring, system design, and technical troubleshooting within complex security environments. Responsibilities Lead the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of low-voltage systems including fire alarms, CCTV surveillance, access control, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), sensors, and telecommunication equipment. Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute system designs and modifications. Supervise field service activities, ensuring timely completion of projects while maintaining high safety standards. Provide technical troubleshooting support for complex security systems and low-voltage electrical wiring issues. Coordinate with clients to assess system requirements, deliver technical guidance, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout project lifecycle. Oversee the integration of door security systems with existing infrastructure and ensure seamless operation. Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, schematics, and service reports for future reference. Train and mentor junior technicians on system installation techniques, safety protocols, and troubleshooting procedures. Utilize hand tools, power tools, remote access software, and testing equipment to diagnose issues efficiently. Support sales teams by providing technical expertise on alarm system features and system upgrades. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician specializing in low-voltage electrical systems within security or telecommunication industries. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in equipment troubleshooting and system design. Proficiency in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and interpreting technical drawings. Extensive knowledge of low-voltage wiring practices including cabling standards for surveillance, alarm & access control systems. Familiarity with computer hardware setup, network configuration, remote access software, and telecommunication infrastructure. Experience working with fire alarm systems, CCTV surveillance cameras (including IP-based systems), sensors, IDS components, and door security integration. Ability to interpret technical specifications related to security systems such as alarms, surveillance cameras, sensors, and intercoms. Skilled in using hand tools and power tools safely for electrical installations. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly. Valid certifications or licenses related to low-voltage electrical work or security system installation are preferred. Physical ability to perform fieldwork that involves climbing ladders or working in confined spaces.
