Position Summary The Low Voltage Fire Alarm Service Technician is responsible for traveling to customer sites to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm systems. This role works closely with the service manager to ensure issues are resolved efficiently while delivering a high level of customer service and system reliability. Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot fire alarm system issues in commercial environments Identify root causes and propose effective repair solutions Troubleshoot and repair ground faults, open circuits, and wiring issues Replace malfunctioning devices, modules, and panel components Modify and update fire alarm system programming as needed Coordinate with the service manager to complete service calls efficiently Communicate findings, repairs, and recommendations clearly to customers Complete accurate service call documentation and reports Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism Requirements 4+ years of fire alarm service or low voltage experience Experience troubleshooting and servicing commercial fire alarm systems Experience with fire alarm panels such as Gamewell FCI, Fire-Lite, Silent Knight Ability to program and modify fire alarm systems Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Effective communication, organization, and time management skills High school diploma or equivalent Reliable transportation and strong work ethic Preferred Qualifications
NICET FAS
certification (preferred) Experience working in service-focused roles (not just install) Familiarity with NFPA codes and local fire regulations Experience interacting directly with customers and clients on-site Why Work with Next Level Technician in Raleigh, NC?
