The Role:
The Alarm Service Department Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of residential and commercial clients by installing, maintaining, and repairing alarm systems. This position requires a thorough understanding of alarm technologies and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently. The technician will work closely with customers to assess their security needs and provide tailored solutions that meet industry standards. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to deliver reliable and high-quality service. Ultimately, this role contributes to the company's reputation for excellence in security services and customer satisfaction across the United States. As part of the Service Team , you'll be the engine behind our operational excellence. You'll provide essential support, serve as a liaison for our customers.What You'll Do:
Install, test, and maintain alarm systems including burglar alarms, fire alarms, and access control systems at client locations. Diagnose and repair malfunctions in alarm equipment and related hardware promptly to minimize downtime. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and compliance with safety regulations. Provide clear and professional communication to customers regarding system operation, maintenance schedules, and any necessary repairs or upgrades. Document all service activities accurately in company systems and report any recurring issues or potential improvements to management.Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in alarm system installation or maintenance (e.g., NICET, ESA). Experience working with fire alarm and security system codes and standards. Previous experience in a similar alarm service or security technician role. Familiarity with networked security systems and smart home integration.
