We specialize in security systems, fire alarms, surveillance cameras, access control, smart-home technology, audio systems and other low-voltage systems. We are looking for a dependable and motivated Security & Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. We are open to candidates with industry experience as well as individuals with a strong electrical or low-voltage foundation who are eager to learn and build a long-term career in the industry. Responsibilities Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain security and fire alarm systems Install and run low-voltage wiring and cabling Install cameras, sensors, keypads, detectors, access-control equipment, and related devices Diagnose system, wiring, and communication issues Perform system testing and assist with inspections Program and configure systems as needed Communicate professionally with residential and commercial customers Maintain clean and organized job sites Document work completed and communicate job updates with the office Work independently and alongside other technicians depending on the project What We're Looking For Experience with electrical, low-voltage, security, fire alarm, camera, or similar systems is preferred Basic understanding of wiring, electrical systems, and troubleshooting Comfortable using hand and power tools Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Dependable, organized, and willing to learn Professional and comfortable interacting with customers Ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned work Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to work required Why Join MG Alarms & Security?
