About the Position Summit Access & Security is looking for an experienced Alarm & Low Voltage Technician to join our growing team in Point Pleasant, NJ. This is a full-time field position for an experienced technician who can install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain alarm, access control, surveillance, intercom, A/V, and structured cabling systems. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, understands professional cable installation and system troubleshooting, and can work independently while representing Summit professionally at customer locations. Responsibilities Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial alarm and low-voltage systems Install and troubleshoot intrusion alarm systems Install and service IP camera and video surveillance systems Install and service access control systems Install and troubleshoot intercom systems Install A/V equipment and associated infrastructure Run, dress, terminate, test, and label low-voltage cabling Work in drop ceilings, interior and exterior walls, wire trays, and conduit Diagnose system and wiring issues and determine appropriate repairs Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and system drawings Maintain clean, organized, and professional installations Accurately document completed work and communicate issues discovered in the field Cabling Experience Required Candidates should be experienced running and terminating: CAT6 CAT5/CAT5e

Strong cable dressing, labeling, termination, testing, and overall workmanship are expected. Preferred System Knowledge Experience with the following is highly desirable: Napco Alarm Panels Honeywell Alarm Panels IP Camera Systems CDVI Access Control DoorKing Intercom Systems Aiphone Intercom Systems Experience with comparable commercial alarm, access control, surveillance, and intercom platforms will also be considered. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of low-voltage/alarm industry experience Valid driver's license Must have the appropriate tools for low-voltage installation and service Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot system problems Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings Strong communication skills Reliable, punctual, responsible, and able to work independently Professional appearance and attitude when working at customer locations Ability to work safely from ladders and in typical commercial construction environments Must successfully complete Summit's pre-employment screening requirements, including applicable background checks Why Join Summit?
