• Lead the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of fire alarm systems, including proprietary control panels and sensors. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, CAD drawings, and engineering diagrams to accurately execute system designs. Conduct construction inspections to verify compliance with building codes, NFPA standards, fire codes, and low voltage wiring requirements. Troubleshoot complex fire alarm issues using engineering troubleshooting techniques; perform repairs using hand tools and power tools efficiently. Oversee field service operations, ensuring timely response to system failures or alarms while maintaining high customer satisfaction. Collaborate with clients to provide expert advice on fire alarm system upgrades, sales opportunities for alarm systems or fire sprinkler fittings, and system enhancements. Mentor junior technicians by sharing technical knowledge on proprietary fire alarm control panels, sensors, schematics, and electrical work best practices. Requirements

• Proven experience in fire alarm system installation, maintenance, or service technician roles with a strong understanding of proprietary control panels. Proficiency in blueprint reading—electrical blueprints, schematics—and CAD software related to fire alarm design. Mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience in low voltage systems; familiarity with sprinkler systems is a plus. Knowledge of NFPA standards (National Fire Protection Association), NEC (National Electrical Code), and local building codes related to fire safety. Ability to read electrical schematics and perform engineering troubleshooting effectively in the field. Strong customer service skills with a professional approach to client interactions and project management. Valid certifications in fire alarm systems installation or inspection preferred; experience with sprinkler fitting or sensors is advantageous. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, power meters, and other relevant equipment necessary for system installation and repair.
