Job Description
We are looking for Fire Protection Technician to install and update fire extinguishers, fire sprinkler, and fire alarm systems (Special Hazard Systems a plus) in commercial buildings. You will perform inspections, tests, and troubleshoot or document any issues. You will also respond to emergency service calls and ensure the systems are functioning properly. Experience required for this position as well any NICET certification, CSA certification, manufacturer certification, etc. Knowledge about NFPA standards also a plus. Technician Duties and Responsibilities
- Test and repair fire protection systems
- Perform inspections according to code
- Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues
- Respond to emergency service calls
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace Technician Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- NICET, CSA, or other certifications a plus
- Knowledge of NFPA standards a plus
- Experience with commercial and residential systems
- Ability to work on ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to problem solve and work independently
- Excellent communications skills a must
