Assists in installation, maintenance, and repair of NMT communications infrastructure, local, and remote PBX
telephone equipment and services including MAC work orders. Maintains the daily operations, installation,
maintenance, testing, and repair of NMT fire alarm systems, intrusion detection systems, surveillance
systems, and any other low voltage systems. Maintains the daily operations, installation, maintenance, and
repair of NMT network infrastructure. This includes assisting/escorting contractors tasked with any of the
above work. Maintains sprinkler systems as well as assists/escorts contractors for these water based fire
systems. Uses cable locator to mark any underground communication lines, and keeps debris away from
these communication lines so that they are not to be damaged in any way. Maintains backup batteries and
generators that help keep emergency services running during a power outage. After-hours standby/on-call
duties will be required.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Install, troubleshoot, and repair Telecommunication, Fire Alarm, Security devices. Install, troubleshoot, and repair physical Telecommunication, Fire Alarm, Security lines on campus. Escort outside contractors to various buildings for inspections and outside support. Additional Information

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School (or GED) level ability in spelling, grammar, composition and math. Read and comprehend instructions, write information and complete simple forms. High School (or GED) level ability in spelling, grammar, basic composition and math. Formal diploma/certificate/degree program of 6-18 months after high school. Knowledge of water & clean agent based fire suppression systems. Experience with Intrusion Alarm installation and maintenance. Knowledge of backup batteries and generators for these communications systems. . Verifiable Industry experience required.
