00 Employees being promoted to a higher classified position receive the minimum for the position or a pay rate adjustment of 8% whichever is greater.     JOB SUMMARY:
    This position requires scheduling flexibility to include the ability to work nights, days and evening shifts: holidays and weekends as needed. Law Enforcement Tech duties include Security patrol and Dispatch. Ability to document records and to complete additional duties as assigned.
    JOB FUNCTIONS
    Patrol New Mexico Tech property to ensure safety, identify, hazards and maintenance needs, and complete requires security checks. Secure or unsecure buildings and property as required to conduct daily operation Provide emergency coverage for dispatch and security Participate in departmental training and complete other duties as assigned.
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    High School (or GED) level ability in spelling, grammar, composition and math. Must be 18 years or older. Must be proficient with computers, multi-line telephone systems, two way radio communication. Must be able to stay calm under pressure and multi-task. Must be able to communicate well orally and in writing. Must have excellent customer service skills. Valid NM Drivers license, Defensive Driving Certificate, Ability to obtain public safety telecommunicator certification within 1 year.
